The graphic is not very good... its incredibly hard to see who's talking.

A black outline circle that filled in red, or a bright green dot that changes red, or even better yet let me chose something?

Am I stuck with this impossible to see mouth icon?

I've been a graphic designer, specializing in graphical user-interface, user-experience, and quality-innovation design for roughly five years. I've used Mumble as a method of maintaining fast and efficient contact with my clients and colleagues after having too many bad experiences with Skype and other VoIP applications, and I've been consistently pleased with the user-friendliness and simplicity of Mumble compared to "similar" products like TeamSpeak and Ventrilo. So why would I be making a post about designing an even more user-friendly interface? Well, there are things that could A) Be visually more sophisticated and updated, B) Be more user-friendly and offer a superior user-experience, and C) Have more continuity, design-wise, between the mobile application and the computer application, across all platforms.

Have other people done this already? Sure! Have they succeeded? Absolutely! However, I want to take on a larger scale project that completely renovates the design, upgrades it, and restores continuity across all platforms and devices. Speed, user-friendliness, and beauty are the utmost priorities in such a project, and will always be taken into consideration with even the smallest details.

So, what does this have to do with you? Well I want to hear your opinions and suggestions. What have other skins failed to offer in terms of features, styles, customization, and so on? Your opinions matter the most in a project of this magnitude, and I want to please every one of you, even among the first version release! Nothing will ever be perfect, and nothing ever is, but I will strive for perfection. I want this to be an effort between me and you, and you need to collaborate with me by giving me an ample amount of ideas so I can offer the best experience to Mumble users everywhere.

Seriously, the size of this font is so small I'm getting eyestrain. :roll: I can't even imagine what it would be like on a 32" 4K monitor. Sure would be nice to have a text size setting in the Configuration >> User Interface panel.

Oh and by the way, my problem with deafened_self.svg icon is to make differenet for ToolBar, and next to the users nicknema in TreeView, cause i need them different in system tray.

As a side note the welcome message ascii art is now blood red (set on the server) and looks way more awesome :)

I didn't like the default icons as Users and Channels looked the same.

when I have green icons for users, it's much easier for me to navigate the channels.

the only thing to get is, - Options -> User Interface -> Style -> Cleanlooks (which is not available in 1.3, but you can still get something nice out of it).

The part in question is the blue box that highlights the icons on the toolbar. The box shows up when you hover over an icon and when you select an icon (like the mute/deafen icons). I cannot figure out how to modify that box and it's driving me mad! If someone knows the right class name, I'd be very appreciative if you could let me know.

I was wondering how to modify the QTreeview properties to my needs. I can't seem to figure this out!

Here is a picture of what my mumble Treeview currently looks like:

Notice how my name in the channel (test1) is bold, and other users under me in the channel (for example, tester7) are not bold?

My problem is that i'm wondering how to make the users under me have the same size, font, text style, everything! How would I be able to do this so tester7 looks exactly like test1?

Hopefully you guys understand my request here! I just can't figgure it out! thank you!

1.I can't find the object name for the channel description when pressing "C" comment.

2.For the "On mouse over" channel description i'm using QToolTip but when using border-radius the background overflows it. (Example:http://i.imgur.com/w5x62.jpg)

I already tried to use designer to find the channel description when pressing comment with no avail so any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:Ok im pretty sure now that the On click channel description was a QWhatsThis::showText() and i'm pretty sure that is not stylable.
