As mumble is a communication application it uses the default communication device by default. You can however configure mumble to use a fixed audio device of your choice instead. This can be done from the Configuration when the "Advanced" checkbox is checked.

Sorry about that. A recent Windows 10 update broke Mumble shortcuts when a XInput device like an XBox controller was attached. I assume this is what you are seeing. This should be resolved with 1.2.15 (see http://blog.mumble.info/mumble-1-2-15/ ). Sorry for the inconvinience.

Unfortunately the ASIO implementation in Mumble is rather underwhelming and we have no developer interested in actually maintaining or improving it. Our current plan is to drop it after the 1.3 release unless someone steps up to do so. Would be interested to know your use-case for using asio vs say ...
Disabling the mumble overlay should work around the issue. I'm not aware of any overlay changes we did recently that might trigger this. We had problems with OBS and the mumble overlay in the past though. If you have a github account (or don't mind opening one) it would be great if you could report ...
