Official Mumble VoIP Forums

Thanks, I'd would have posted it on there as well, but I have no Github account - nor any interest in making one at the moment. It would be nice if the proposed feature worked on both you initiating the channel switch, as well as someone else dragging you into the channel just like Ventrilo does. Ho...
Do we actually not have a notification when you are moved by someone else? Don't see it. Definitely agree that should have a notification. There might be some sort of generic "something happened" message, but a specific "you joined a channel" sound binding is infinitely more effective at telling yo...
I don’t think there is such a setting. Probably because joining a channel is an action initiated by you, and it is pretty much instant. So there is no reason to "notify" the user of success. Do you have a specific use case for this? Do you feel such a notification is necessary or otherwise useful? ...
In Mumble's sound binding list, how do I set a sound for whenever I enter a channel - like that chime effect Ventrilo has?

There are sound effects for people entering and leaving the channel you are in, but nothing for indicating when you enter a channel.
We probably won’t waste effort on backporting features unrelated to security. Time is better spent making sure 1.3.0 gets closer to release. The Xinput features were ported without too much issue to a prior branch, I'd imagine the SRV support would not be much harder. So far, I'm not necessarily th...
Hey, hate to bump this up again, but is there any way to backport the planned SRV record handling from 1.3 to a 1.2.X revision? 1.2.17 has pretty much everything I want for nearly all eternity, except SRV record handling. The main holdup looks like QT 5 versus the 4 version used with 1.2.X which has...
This sounds like the issue I had with Windows 7. Check under all microphones and speakers listed under your Windows audio thing, and uncheck "enable audio enhancements" under the advanced tab of each one. I had an issue where a T420 was doing the same thing you describe even with all of the audio mu...
For those trying to figure this out, turn off signal enhancements under your microphone tab. Thought only attenuation or audio enhancements under the playback device did this, but the microphone can cause the problem as well.

This solved the issue.
Yeah, nothing seems to stop this. Regardless of whatever setting I have selected for the attenuation section, it continues to force "muffle" other programs. If I press "apply" it quickly unmutes and fades back to the mute, so it is definitely Mumble. I found this forum thread which seems vaguely rel...
I'm trying to track down an issue which only seems to occur when I am running Mumble under Windows 7 x64. For reference, I have attenuation disabled, no muting enabled for applications under the sound mixer, and all "sound enhancements" turned off. When Mumble is not running, all applications seem t...
