Re: How to set mumble to use your default sound device

Mumble doesn't seem to respect the explicit Audio Output Device? At least, on my two computers (Win 10), I can't force a specific output device. It just always goes to the system default regardless of settings in Mumble. This issue seems to pop up a lot. Mumble doesn't respect the chosen output dev...

Re: How does your DirectX "Hack" work?

i'm tied to Qt 5. So that would work for me, correct?? There are so many overlays (steam, origin, Nvidia,...) i wonder there is no kind of api that allows you to add some overlay items to the screen (labels, image) and to interact with them (get mouse position, get mouse klick event) There is reall...

Re: mumble.info HTTPS configuration

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

I've updated our own (non-CDN'd) SSL config to be more sensible. The Qualsys test now gives us an A instead.

Thanks!

Re: Mumble evolvement

I think your analysis and your thoughts are correct. We're currently working hard to get Mumble 1.3.0 out the door. This release has taken us a very long time -- too long -- and Mumble development has suffered as a consequence. Once 1.3.0 is out the door, one of the things I would like to implement ...

Re: Feature request - alternative sample rates

There is nothing that really forces the WASAPI backend to use 48KHz. We could run it at something else, if there are compatibility issues.

For many other audio backends, we let the system choose. If it deems 44.1KHz a better fit, we will use that and resample to 48KHz on the fly for internal use.

Re: How does your DirectX "Hack" work?

Actually, in Mumble 1.2.x there is a full-screen overlay that does embed the full Mumble client in the overlay. We do it using various hacks in both Qt and Mumble, and it's not pretty. It's not going to function in Qt 5/Mumble 1.3.0. Some quick pointers for some of the hacks: https://github.com/mumb...
