Re: Referral error unavoidable

Hi, The referral error means there is a problem with validating the code-signing for the Mumble executable. Is the clock on your computer correctly configured? If not, the validity times for the code-signing certificate will not be valid. Where did you get your downloads from? The only place we reco...

Re: Mumble server uninstall or update causes java error Sage

OK, I just tried something on my local machine. I used Dependency Walker to see what jvm.dll from C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_121\bin\server depends on. And it does indeed depend on msvcr100.dll -- a MS VC 2010 CRT DLL. Since there is no msvcr100.dll next to JVM.dll, it loads the copy from c:\Win...

Re: Mumble server uninstall or update causes java error Sage

OK, I realize "trying" a newer version might be hard if it trashes your machine... Let me think of a better solution... :-)

Re: Mumble server uninstall or update causes java error Sage

Murmur 1.2.8 is very old. That installer used to use "merge modules" for the MSVC2010 C Runtime. Basically, that means that every time Mumble is installed (I am not sure how uninstalls are affected), it call out to a bundled C runtime MSI file to ensure the correct C runtime is properly installed. I...

Re: Public registration issue

No, we haven't removed the entry on the registration server. It's odd that it counted it as a new registration.

Re: Public registration issue

Hi, From the registration output, it seems like your server doesn't accept our root CA anymore. I talked to fwaggle and got your server info, and noticed that it's a Windows server... Windows's root CA store auto-fetches certs. Murmur 1.2.16 on Windows doesn't trigger this fetch, and thus you can ge...

Re: Mumble dmg File Corrupt

Hi,

Can you provide a little more info?

I've just double checked all downloads on the front page of https://www.mumble.info, and all of them download and mount correctly on my OS X 10.11.5 installation.

Which version are you downloading that doesn't work for you?

Thanks,
Mikkel

Re: Stereo Sound Not Working!

Ah, I actually *read* the whole post and saw your use case now. Sorry about that! We don't currently support stereo or > 2 channel encoding. But the protocol can support it just fine. (Backwards compatibility is not guaranteed, though!) There might be problems with multichannel recordings vs. UDP pa...

Re: Stereo Sound Not Working!

Mumble records speech and encodes to mono, but upmixes to stereo (or even more channels) on the receiving end when necessary (positional audio, etc.) Why do you need stereo? Are you in a setup where you have users with more than one mic or a stereo mic setup? Or something else? Regular headset mics ...

Re: Unknown Speex_Preprocessor_ctl error

There should be no problem using the floating point mode of SpeexDSP on Raspberry Pi -- except for the fact that the Raspbian pre-built version is built without it. You should be able to build it from source with ./configure --enable-float (I believe that's what the configure option is called -- may...
