Last January I tried using mumble except that I didn't use push to talk. The problem was that everyone and their brother could hear everything I was doing super loud. Unlike skype, mumble didn't quiet things down when you weren't talking, etc. It would also making random popping noises on me and my friends computer. Very irritationg to listen to.



Has this been fixed yet?

Try it.

I guess nobody tested and developed with your hardware and settings, and then tested it.


If your volume levels are bad you should adjust them yourself. The audio wizard should help with this.
