WASAPI lag in 1.2.4

Hi,

I have recently updated my Mumble client to 1.2.4. Since I did this, I occasionally experienced a lot of lag in my output. Every few minutes, others hear my voice lagging and having a "robot sound".

I figured out this was because my output device was set to WASAPI, 1.2.4 doesn't list DirectSound anymore. So I found a fix somewhere which forced me to run my Mumble in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. This would list DirectSound again.

So this is working and all, but is there a fix to get WASAPI running without lag?

I’d blame audio drivers first.

Try increasing the jitter used for audio output in Mumbles settings (advanced enabled).

Also, try updating / checking your audio drivers.
