Hi everybody !

First I want to appologise for my bad english I'm french.

Some of my people are RP fan and have username with space.

But I've met a problem with mumble : I can't add in groups users with space in the username.

When I try to add one the username is added in italic and when i close the ACP panel the name just disapear from the group list. see the picture below

I've no problem with other usernames with no space inside as you can see.

I can show you the userlist of my mumble serveur, I can assure to you the user is created and he can connect to the mumble with this ID.

EDIT :

I've tried again just for showing you ^^ (sorry the interface is in french) on the first screenshot this is the interface for adding a new user, and the userlist interface.

See the user has been created, and he can connect to the server

but when I try to add him in a group... this is the result :

I've tried with a " \ " because of an advise of a friend

If you need more details, I'm here for you

Just as a workaround, could you please rename the user temporary to something without spaces, add him to the group, close ACL editor, open it again and check whether he is included? Then rename him back and then check if he is still in the group.

On a testserver there were no problems with spaces in names at all.

OK : A probleme appends

I rename the user "Phile testtte" to "philetesttte"

Now I can add it into a group with no probleme like any other spaceless user

but when I try to rename it from "philetesttte" to "Phile testtte" an error append

[09:36:51] Nom d'utilisateur invalide : phile testtte.
[09:37:34] Nom d'utilisateur invalide : phile testtte.
[09:37:55] Nom d'utilisateur invalide : phile theroxxor.
[09:39:54] Nom d'utilisateur invalide : Phile Exmachina.

It say "Invalid user name : phile testte"

I've try whith another one "philetheroxxor"

i've also try with an user in no group " PhileExmachina" it doesn't work either

The new problem should be related to username= in your murmur.ini.

Add "\\ " to the list of allowed character or change the value for example to

.+

to allow every character with a minimum length of 1. Then you should be able to rename the user.
