Trouble using with DayZ

Have successfully used Mumble with WoW and Diablo, but have problems with DayZ. I cannot use in game. I have to Escape and move to second monitor to talk. I play in Windowed mode, but changing that doesn't help. Pausing the game to talk is a pain and can result in zombie death. What am I doing wrong?
