space-otter
How can I create a channel that once a user is moved to that one, they cannot escape? This is possible if the time-out channel is a parent of the other channels but I would rather have as a child.
Lindee
You can create an ACL, that does not inherit, that denies enter/speak/traverse. The server (or channel) admin would then have to drag the person in and out. You would also need to set "rememberchannel=true" on the .ini file (if you can) so they can't just log out and log back in.
Moderators fwaggle Posted September 19, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 19, 2014 Have you tested this Lindee? I don't think Traverse works like that, unless you make your timeout room the root channel and use the in/out metagroups, and pick a different default channel. Full disclosure: I used to run a commercial Mumble host, and my opinions do not reflect the opinions of the Mumble project. Lindee
I haven't tested this, it was more of a spitball idea while not actively at my mumble
Moderators Natenom Posted December 22, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 22, 2014 On most servers one must have admin permissions in order to create a permanent channel. The default configuration allows all users to create temporary channels only; they are being removed when the last user leaves them.
