Windows 7 + Mumble = BSD

I just tried to download Mumble on my computer so I could raid with a guild on WoW. When I went to run the wizard to install it, I got a BSD (blue screen of death) and I had to restore my machine to a previous session. I do have Windows 7 as my OS and I've heard that it doesn't play well with Mumble and I was wondering as to why? Why did it make my computer totally crash?

That’s bullshit.

Mumble by itself can not cause a BSOD. Only through its use of audio/network devices / the OS.

It is most likely a faulty driver of yours. I’d try wiping drivers and reinstalling new drivers for your audio devices.
