first word randomly too loud

hey,

we are running an mumble 1.2.8 server and only me and my brother (with different hardware) have the problem, that the first word randomly is way to loud, it is like screaming.


we both using the mumble 1.2.8 client and using voice activation.

Keep dialling back "amplification" in Mumble's Audio input configuration until the problem hopefully goes away.


I suspect this may be related to a bug we're currently chasing with OPUS in Mumble.


Also if you're using a hardware mute switch on your microphone, stop using that as it can seriously mess with Mumble's automagic gain control.
