Unable to connect to my local mumble server

I am hosting a mumble server (murmurd) on my raspberry pi (version 1.2.3) and have got it all working. However everytime I try to connect to it locally (192.168.1.72 in my case) it simply says "Server connection failed: Connection refused." but my friend who is on an entirely separate network can connect just fine.


What do I do?
