Mumble as a wireless amplifier - Overcoming Latency

Instead of buying a wireless microphone system, I thought why not just plug an external microphone into my android phone and connect it to a Mumble Server over LAN?

Well the reason why not that I found was the latency. It is very small, but noticeable and distracting. Is there anything at all I can do to improve the latency on the Plumble app and Murmur settings?

The absolute minimum latency you'll be able to achieve is 10ms plus network overhead plus a bit extra for coding.

You need to set the clients for minimum packet size and minimum jitter buffer to get there.
