Ok I have outpost firewall myself and I probably had the same or similar error as you where Mumble doesnt start up right? Alright open up Outpost firewall, click Rules Wizard or whatever you set next to Firewall Policy, then go to Application Rules and scroll all the way down to Mumble.exe. Click on it to highlight and hit edit down at the bottom, then when the box pops up to change the rules for it just fill in "Allow all activity" and click ok then click apply back in Outpost and close it back down to the system tray. Mumble worked perfectly for me again after I did this so hope it does the same for you.
