Disable mumble unless linked (positional audio)

I'm using a positional audio mod for my Mumble server when playing Minecraft.

Is there a way to make it so that the Mumble server disables the client unless it's linked with the game? I would like to avoid letting people eavesdrop unless they are sneaking up on someone inside the game.

Or do you guys have some other solution in mind?

You could use an authenticator, but it will require someone to write one and with something like Minecraft it's going to be prone to exploitation. The authenticator could either watch the context field of the positional audio data for each user, or pull usernames off the server somehow (given the way that Minecraft authentication works neither of these approaches would be perfect). Getting the information from the server would likely require a MC server mod to provide the data for you.

Full disclosure: I used to run a commercial Mumble host, and my opinions do not reflect the opinions of the Mumble project.
