One member in our mumble group sound always distorts but only to me

No one else in our group experiences it.  He will sound normal then all of a sudden go up literally 75dB and become distorted, not robotic.  It's so bad I have to take my headphones off.  I have reinstalled, run wizard, messed with settings but still happening.  Does not happen on Discord.  Any help greatly appreciated.

Then this is probably an issue in interfacing with the audio backend. What are you using there? WASAPI? And is that the same as you are using on the other computer where it works as expected?
