Mumble issues with FFXIV

If I have Mumble already running, when I launch Final Fantasy XIV it stops working. If I'm already in Final Fantasy and launch mumble my sound from FFXIV disappears. When I log into a Mumble server, the game either crashes or slows down dramatically. My Overlay is disabled and I've reinstalled both programs. If I do not have Mumble running the game runs perfectly as it should.


Any thoughts?

Are you using a USB Headset device by any chance?


I have a (I think) similar issue with World of Warcraft and Mumble, that only started manifesting with a new (USB) Headset. The old Analogue set plugged into onboard sound didn't have this issue.
