Hello there, i have a little problem with my Murmur.

Every hour i get a log from Murmur with the following text:

2010-08-07 21:49:05.497 1 => <140:(-1)> New connection: 128.39.114.1:59856

2010-08-07 21:49:05.591 1 => <140:(-1)> Connection closed: The remote host closed the connection [1]

2010-08-07 21:49:05.607 1 => Registration: No DNS records found: Registration updated

The message is shown every hour in log when running Murmur, only the port from the connection changes every time.

What does this mean and how i can get this message away?

# To enable public server registration, the serverpassword must be blank, and

# this must all be filled out.

# The password here is used to create a registry for the server name; subsequent

# updates will need the same password. Don't lose your password.

# The URL is your own website, and only set the registerHostname for static IP

# addresses.

#

#registerName=Mumble Server

#registerPassword=secret

#registerUrl=http://mumble.sourceforge.net/

#registerHostname=

And you entered your domain in registerHostname?

Sometimes it works fine for maybe 3 hours, sometimes its only up 30 minutes. Each time it seems to try 2 or 3 times before reconnecting again.

It’s not only about log messages with connections and conn-timeouts from a big number of ips, so it’s pretty different.

Are you talking about the client having an issue (which it seems you are), or from the servers point of view with just those log messages?

Well, it seems like “normal” connection problems. If it’s only that one person having issues while others stay connected and can talk, it’s very probably an issue with that persons network (connection).

Yipes! Posted the wrong post.

This is what I meant to post here:

Note it is the same IP from OP. It doesnt seem to affect connectivity for anyone. Just wondering what it is.

As for the last post I am trying to figure out why the mumble that I am using to connect to my own server running off a different computer keeps disconnecting.

The server (murmur) is running 1.2.1 I'm connecting mumble 1.2.2. Other users connecting 1.2.2 seem to be fine, not sure why its just me.

And I'd update the server but everytime I get a chance to there's something going on I can't take it down. Unless theres a way to update without disconnecting it I don't know about
