Mumble and my VPN

Having problems with connections to mumble when im using my VPN. I can use mumble when my VPN is on, but periodically connection to mumble will drop and i'll be unable to reconnect for a while. I've tried troubleshooting with my VPN providers support and they claim its to do with ports that mumble uses aren't supported by their service i'm trying to find a way that will force mumble traffic through my VPN any suggestions?
