RedbeardTheNinja
I'm trying to use mumble with an h820e which is a mono headset with only one speaker and mumble cannot seem to output to the headset. I am on windows 10 with the latest stable mumble build. I verified that other users can hear me using the microphone on the headset but no sound is getting through. Tried turning positional audio off but that did not help. Other sounds come through fine including the mumble sounds for users leaving and entering channels when the headset is my default output device on windows. Are there any known issues with one ear headsets and mumble? Let me know if I can provide any more info.
Moderators fwaggle Posted December 9, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2015 I used to use Mumble with the Logitech USB headsets for the PS2 without issue, that was a really long time ago though. Quote Full disclosure: I used to run a commercial Mumble host, and my opinions do not reflect the opinions of the Mumble project. demon1337
for mumble you can also set your output device. Is your headset showing up there? If you hear windows sounds it should be working just fine.
RedbeardTheNinja
Yes, if I go to use the audio wizard or in the audio output settings the device shows up and I can select it fine but no sound comes through. This is a wireless mono headset. Is there anything else I should try or any info I can find in logs or anything for what might be the issue. Gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it does anything as well.
Administrators mkrautz Posted December 20, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 20, 2015 Yes, if you could run a Mumble session like you normally would (pretending the headset works as it should). Then, open %APPDATA%\Mumble\Console.txt. Copy/paste the relevant information into a post here on the board or in a Pastebin or Gist.Thanks.
