How to add hooks for connect, voice packets?

Sorry, but I am brand new to Mumble. I have done extensive work with other UDP type VOIP software.

I would like to be able, at the client side, to do some extra processing when a user connects/disconnects and also when a voice packet comes over. I am looking at making a automated client the processes the activity without any human involved. I realize this is a bit vague, but I just would like some pointers/examples of where to start, or does Mumble even let me do this.

Thanks in advance.
