XMPP

Hi,

Mumble chat is very simple. I want to add some smileys, some files, OMEMO encryption, etc.

Mumble must keep simple i agree with that. But how can i integrate XMPP into this?

Mumble doing audio communication and it's good at it

XMPP doing text communication and it is good at it

Both are open source

Can murmur communicate with a XMPP server like ejbberd or prosody?

U don't think XMPP is the way to go(nor matrix.org) maybe upgrading the current chat is a good idea.
