Seriously, if your friend gets a blue-screen just by starting an application, his system is completely broken.

Try sweeping old audio drivers and reinstall newest version.

If that does not help, any other drivers (like graphics, motherboard).

Also remember that anti-virus, VPN or VM software may also install drivers, so also remove those to test it.


As an alternative, just reinstall the whole system.
