How do I adjust the volume?

We need more details. Many of the acoustic volume settings are dominated by your operating system. Are you using Windows, Linux, Macintosh?

And when you refer to "volume" are you talking about what you want to hear coming out of your own speakers? Or a headset? Or are you talking about the volume of the sound you are transmitting to others?

To further complicate this, sometimes your headset or speakers have independent volume controls. Sometimes microphones have on/off switches.

I don't want to insult your intelligence by pointing all of this out, but before we can help you very much we need to know what you've done with all of those variables.
