audio from partner mutes 0.5 seconds after joining channel

I have a really odd issue when my partner joins the server.

the audio of my partner is is active for 0.5 sec and then the icon of my partner turns green on my client.


Keep in mind that neither of us is using PTT , we have our clients set to continuous audio transfer.

This issue started recently . i run the mumble server on a raspberry pi and i also tried the windows version of murmur and the outcome is the same.


The odd part is that the icon of my partner does not turn green on their end , only on my end.


my partner has reinstalled mumble and cleaned up the files in the APPDATA folders , and nothing helped.
