gp713
Hello.I've just recently downloaded Mumble for the first time to use and am already experiencing some difficulties.Every time I open Mumble, Windows Live Messenger stops working and crashes every time I open it. This is pretty annoying, since I'm a first time user, and my boyfriend was going to help me set it up through communication using the Windows Live Messenger service.I'm not very tech savvy, so I'm completely unsure what's causing this to happen. I'm currently using the newest WLM client (Windows Live Messenger 2011) and what I believe is the latest version of Mumble, too. And if it's relevant, too, I'm also using Windows Vista on this machine.
Administrators kissaki Posted November 4, 2010 Administrators Share Posted November 4, 2010 Try disabling the overlay in mumbles settings and try again.
gp713
That seems to have worked. Thanks!
Administrators kissaki Posted November 5, 2010 Administrators Share Posted November 5, 2010 Then, if you wanna use the overlay in general, you could add the live messenger to the blacklist in recent snapshots and the coming version 1.2.3. Administrators kissaki Posted November 6, 2010 Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2010 Another thing I remembered was that you can place a file named nooverlay (I think) in the folder your executable is at.See other thread with similiar issue.
