How to enable priority speaker - does it need 1.2.3 server?

This may be really obvious but how do you give a user the right to set themselves as a priority speaker. I am an admin on my server and have just about full rights, but the menu option under Self is still disabled.

My only thought was that despite the sound handling all being local it may require a 1.2.3 server, but I couldn't find that confirmed anywhere.

Yes, you need an 1.2.3 server to set the flag and the clients have to use 1.2.3 to hear a difference.

Thanks. I'd seen the info about only 1.2.3 clients doing the attenuation, but at least I know why it isn't working now :)
