Issues with the @all group

I cannot seem to remove the @all group or edit the permissions in the Root channel. I'd like to be able to use the inherit feature to proprogate groups to lower channels, but this always brings the @all channel to them as well. Advice?

The first @all rule in the root channel cannot be removed. Without it existing and being inherited into the whole tree there would be no guarantee that rights have a defined state. To amend/overwrite it simply create a second @all rule and change what you want to have changed. The ACLs are evaluated top down with the lowest ACL having the highest priority. So if the basic ACL says deny but your second one below it allow the end result will be allow.
