I have setup a server (ubuntu server 10.10) on a spare computer from within my network. I am having issues with users outside of my network being unable to connect to my server.

I have made two posts about this issue (on different forums: reddit, ubuntu forums) so unfortunately I don't feel like retyping the details however they can be found here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1688327 (username:buler)

(username:MagicianNamdGOB)

In these posts you will find verious output logs/screenshots.

Let me know if there is any additional info you want me to add.

Thanks

I am convinced that the problem is your firewall. Check out the few spots where it says...

-A FIREWALL -j DROP

Try to disable your firewall for a minute and see if someone can connect...

/etc/init.d/iptables stop

When finished testing, use this to restart...

/etc/init.d/iptables start
