iansmith6
I have a Polycom Communicator on Windows 7 64bit using Mumble 1.2.2.The problem is voice quality Is TERRIBLE. Skype and Yahoo voice chat work perfectly, Mumble is nearly unusable. The problem seems to be when I talk it not only turns on the Polycom mic, but turns on the Polycom SPEAKER too and echos whatever I say back, creating terrible feedback. If I go into Audio Wizard whenever it asks me to talk I get terrible feedback whining.Anyone else use this brand of mic? Any fix?
rawnar
In the Audio Input configuration there is a setting for echo cancellation. You will need to check the advanced box at the bottom left to see it.In the box interface, there is a pull-down menu next to the word Echo. You can pick mixed or multichannel depending on your speaker setup. Quote Computer specs: AMD FX-8320, 8GB DDR3-SDRAM, AMD Radeon HD 7950, Asus Xonar D1, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit/Debian Jessie AMD64.
