voyager uss
I want to easily local mute multiple users who are joining from the immediate neighbor. Because the direct voice and the mumble voice overlap, which makes me feel uncomfortable. It would be nice to be able to right-click and "local mute" after making multiple selections while holding down the CTL key. Thanks.
Administrators Krzmbrzl Posted October 20, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 20, 2021 Multi-select in Mumble is not supported. voyager uss
Thank you for your reply. > I think I don't really get what you are trying to say with that... You can imagine chatting with multiple users in the same (real) room using mumble. Thanks.
Administrators Krzmbrzl Posted October 25, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 25, 2021 I think basing such a feature on a multi-selection seems a bit cumbersome. There are probably better ways of achieving something like this
voyager uss
Thank you for your reply. I would appreciate it if you could tell me if there is a good way. When there are about 50 participants in a meeting, it is troublesome to locally mute each of the 10 people in the same room. Thanks.
Administrators Krzmbrzl Posted October 25, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 25, 2021 Oh I think at the moment there is not really a way to get what you want. I was more referring to that if something like this was to be implemented, there seem to be better ways to go about this than by multi-selection. For instance a proper group-chat functionality. But I just realized I misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to text messaging. For actual voice communications, the solution would be to create a separate (temporary) channel and move all conversation partners in there.
