Push to Talk focus

I've been able to build mumble locally using the instructions provided at http://mumble.sourceforge.net/BuildingWindows. Mumble builds and runs fine in both debug and release configurations. However, Push to Talk only seems to work when I have the mumble window in focus. I've been running the standard Windows binary release for over a year, and have not seen this issue before.

The configuration I'm using for the build is: qmake CONFIG-=sse2 CONFIG+=no-asio CONFIG+=no-g15 CONFIG+=no-bonjour CONFIG+=no-ice CONFIG+=no-elevation -recursive

Anyone able to help?
