whmagill
I just downloaded Mumble 1.2.3 for Mac OSX. So far, I've been able to configure it and successfully connect with the server for my guild. However, when I go to the "Overlay" option of Preferences, It tells me: Mumble has detected that you do not have the Mumble Overlay installed. Click the button below to install the overlay. Mumble was unable to verify the authenticity of the installer. ... and the "Install Mumble Overlay" button is grayed out.I saw where the Windows version was updated with a new certificate, but apparently not the Mac version. Administrators mkrautz Posted April 5, 2012 Administrators Share Posted April 5, 2012 This shouldn't happen with the 1.2.3a release.Mikkel

The two releases were signed with different certificates, so the expiration of the Windows certificate had nothing to do with this. This was (unfortunately) along standing bug with 1.2.3, and the suggested fix back in the was to manually install the overlay using a properly signed installer:http://mumble.hive.no/snapshot/MumbleOverlay-1.2.3.pkgNow that 1.2.3a's out, you should use that instead. :-)Mikkel
