My mic makes a "rattle" noise when I talk (but only in Game)

As the title suggests.. my mic (Steelseries Siberia V2 USB, running Analog through an Asus Xonar DX sound card) makes a noise that my guildmates can only describe as a rattlesnake when I talk.

Apparently it's known to get progressively worse the longer the mic is held down.

Also, the game is Guild Wars 2.. I'll try other games later tonight and post my results.

I'm not very well versed with audio but I'm more then able to try and suggestions anyone can give me, really need to get this sorted out asap.

I can also get an audio sample if need be.
