When you get to the server selection? Or after Server selection, when you should be taken to the character selection?

Does the entire screen go black?

Just parts?

Maybe you have a screenshot?

Personally, I don’t have Win8 nor SWtoR, so I can’t check it myself.

Maybe you could also launch DebugView and see / post what is being logged.

I'll take a screenshot here in a bit. This seems to be a recent occurrence with mumble users with swtor after checking the game's forums. Also every time I log in on the 1.2.4 beta client there seems to be a update. Is this normal? Where can I check mumble's patch/update notes as sourceforge doesn't seem to let me view the bugs even when signed in.

The first screenshot is with ToR loaded first then mumble loaded afterward. As you can see I can access my toons normally.

I couldn't capture the blank server select but basically it's this just blank

I've also noticed on my machine with windows8 I can't get the overlay to work period. However if I play the same game on my other machine with Win7 installed I not only get the overlay to work, but don't run into any issues with SWTOR. So it seems something with windows 8 is messing up the overlay or something.

So, just looking at the screenshots it seems plausible that it switches from a 2D to a 3D rendering there.

The regular updates are normal, as the beta is a labeled Snapshot build - like the Snapshots we provide for download on the page.

They are compiled automatically from whatever the current code-base provides - hence, after changes to the code-base quite often an update is provided.

You can check the code-base log (commit log) at github https://github.com/mumble-voip/mumble/commits/master

As for the bug- and feature-request-tracker, you should be able to see them even if not registered or logged in.

I've also noticed on my machine with windows8 I can't get the overlay to work period.

You mean with any games at all?

Those (of us) that tried / use Win8 do not currently have any problems.

Yeah can't get the overlay to work at all. Other game I tried was Planetside 2. This has given me a sad as I loved that overlay.

Thank you.

This *may* help. But may also take some time to fix, if it is a valid issue with Mumbles overlay code (someone will have to do it, and have a reproduce-able test-case).

What I’m thinking about here is
